Description
The Black Box VX-HDMI-FO is a professional HDMI extender that uses fiber optic cable instead of copper to achieve dramatically longer distances. It supports HDMI 1.4 with resolutions up to 4K (3840×2160 at 30Hz). Using a single LC duplex fiber, it can extend signals up to 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) for single-mode or 500 meters for multimode. The extender features bi-directional IR pass-through, allowing you to control a source device (like a Blu-ray player) from the display location. The units are housed in rugged metal enclosures, making them ideal for stadiums, airports, and campus-wide digital signage networks.
