Description

The Black Box KV9516A is a 16-port EC Series KVM switch designed for managing up to 16 DVI and USB servers from a single console . Housed in a 2U rack-mountable chassis, it supports DVI-D video resolutions up to 1920×1200 and is DDC2B compatible for seamless operation with modern digital monitors . Switching between connected servers is flexible, allowing users to select ports via front-panel push buttons, keyboard hotkeys, or the auto-scan function which cycles through servers at user-defined intervals. When the auto-scan detects keyboard or mouse activity, it suspends scanning until activity stops, then resumes with the next computer in sequence . The unit stores system settings in nonvolatile memory, preserving keyboard configurations for each server even during power outages. The front panel includes port LEDs that illuminate to show the active port. The switch is operating-system independent, transparent to all applications, and supports Microsoft IntelliMouse (Pro).
