Description
The Black Box IC404A-R2 extends USB 2.0 signals beyond the standard 5-meter limitation up to 500 meters (1640 feet) over multimode fiber optic cable . The remote unit features four USB 2.0 Type-A ports, each providing up to 1 Amp of power (2.5 Amps total shared) to power connected peripherals without requiring external power adapters. This extender works with all USB device types including control, interrupt, bulk, and isochronous devices at speeds up to 480 Mbps. True plug-and-play operation requires no driver installation, making it compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems . The IC404A-R2 is ideal for industrial control, KVM extension, digital signage, remote desktop USB connections, security cameras, access control, medical device connectivity, and USB device sharing in classrooms or meeting rooms.
