Description
The Black Box MT663A-SSC is a FlexPoint series converter that extends T1/E1 communications over single-mode fiber cable with an SC connector interface . This converter converts E1 2.048 Mbps copper signals to fiber, providing protection from environmental noise and enabling communications up to 28 kilometers (17.4 miles). The MT663A-SSC can be used as a standalone converter or mounted in a chassis-based system for organized, scalable deployment. It is part of the FlexPoint family, which includes multimode versions (MT660A-MM) and ST connector variants (MT661A-SM) . This converter is ideal for connecting T1 or E1 PBXs, CSUs, or routers over fiber to increase network reliability and distance while providing protection from EMI/RFI interference. The FlexPoint system provides the ultimate in flexibility, allowing you to start with individual converters and later upgrade to a chassis-based system using the LMC200 14-slot power chassis or LMC205 5-slot rackmount tray.
