Description

The Black Box KV0161A is a CX Series 16-port KVM switch that connects to servers using standard CAT5 cabling via Server Access Modules (SAMs), eliminating bulky KVM cable bundles. The 1U rack-mountable switch supports VGA video resolutions up to 1920×1200 and works with USB, PS/2, and Sun systems. It features an On-Screen Display (OSD) with customizable server names, front-panel push buttons for direct port access, and auto-scan mode to cycle through active servers. The KV0161A supports cascade of up to 31 CPUs in 1U, with flash-upgradeable firmware and multiplatform compatibility. This switch is ideal for small to medium server rooms where space is at a premium.
