The Black Box LGC5152A is a compact Gigabit Ethernet media converter that features two 10/100/1000BASE-T RJ45 copper ports and one single-mode SC fiber connector operating at 1310nm . This converter supports distances up to 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) over single-mode fiber, making it ideal for campus and metropolitan area network extensions. The unit features Link Fault Pass-Through (LFPT) for troubleshooting, auto-negotiation for 10/100/1000-Mbps speeds, and jumbo frame support for multimedia applications. The compact 0.8-inch height by 4-inch width enclosure includes an internal AC power supply and can be used as a standalone unit or mounted in optional rackmount accessories. This converter is perfect for LAN extension and EMI/RFI immunity in harsh environments .
