Description

The Black Box KV0081A is a Freedom II series 8-port KM (keyboard/mouse) switch that enables a single operator to control up to eight computers using one keyboard and mouse while sharing USB peripherals . Unlike traditional KVM switches, this unit does not switch video, allowing each computer to connect to its own monitor while sharing the keyboard, mouse, and other USB devices across all eight systems . The Glide & Switch feature enables intuitive cursor-based switching: simply move the mouse cursor off the edge of one monitor and onto another to instantly switch control, creating a seamless multi-computer experience similar to multi-monitor setups. The rear panel features eight USB Type-B computer ports, two USB HID console ports for keyboard and mouse, USB 2.0 ports for shared peripherals, and an RJ45 network configuration port. The unit is TAA compliant, includes a flash upgrade adapter for firmware updates, and comes with self-adhesive feet for desktop deployment .
