The Black Box LFP414 is a high-performance SFP optical transceiver designed to support throughput speeds of up to 1250 Mbps (1.25 Gbps), making it ideal for high-speed Gigabit Ethernet applications . This SFP features extended diagnostics that report critical link characteristics including temperature, TX and RX power, voltage, and bias current, in addition to basic information such as SFP type, fiber link length, wavelength, and bit rate. The unit supports an extreme operating temperature range of -40°F to +176°F (-40°C to +85°C), making it suitable for outdoor installations and harsh industrial environments . The hot-pluggable LC interface allows for easy swapping of SFPs without network downtime, providing flexibility as your network requirements evolve. This SFP is compatible with most standard SFP slots on network devices (note: not compatible with Cisco switches). The LFP414 is ideal for long-distance single-mode fiber connections up to 30 kilometers in extreme temperature environments.
