Description
The Black Box IC981 is a USB 2.0 extender that allows you to place USB devices up to 100 meters (328 feet) away from your computer using standard CATx UTP cabling, far exceeding the 5-meter USB cable limit. This extender includes a local module that connects to your computer and a remote module that features one USB Type-A port for connecting printers, scanners, hard drives, touch screens, webcams, and other USB peripherals. The IC981 supports all USB device types including control, interrupt, bulk, and isochronous transfers at speeds up to 480 Mbps. True plug-and-play design requires no drivers or software installation, making it compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems. The IC981 is ideal for industrial control systems, KVM extension, digital signage, remote desktop USB connections, security cameras, access control, and medical device connectivity.
