Description

The Black Box IC101A is a USB 1.1 extender that allows you to extend USB peripherals beyond the standard 16-foot (5-meter) limitation, reaching distances of up to 131 feet (40 meters) over CATx cables. This extender enables users to place keyboards, mice, interactive whiteboards, and game controllers at remote workstations while keeping computers secure in server rooms or climate-controlled environments. For low-speed HID devices such as keyboards and mice, distances of up to 279 feet (85 meters) may be achievable. The extender supplies up to 400mA to connected USB devices and supports USB 2.0 at a maximum of 12 Mbps, or 1.5 Mbps for low-speed USB 1.1 devices. True plug-and-play design requires no software drivers, making it compatible with all major operating systems including Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux.
