Description

The Black Box AC556A-R2 is a VGA and audio extender kit that allows you to place a VGA monitor and speakers up to 150 meters (492 feet) away from a computer using a single CAT5, CAT5e, or CAT6 cable . This extender kit includes a local module that connects to the source computer and a remote module that sits at the workstation with the display and speakers. The VGA extender supports resolutions up to 1024 x 768 at the maximum distance, and the remote module includes a gain adjustment control to optimize image quality for any cable length . The local module features one HD15 VGA input and one stereo audio input, while the remote module provides two VGA outputs (for dual monitors) and two stereo audio outputs . LED indicators on both modules show power and active status . Each module includes an external 5VDC/600mA power adapter (120-240 VAC input). The compact modules measure just 1.5 cm high by 10.4 cm wide by 5.8 cm deep and weigh 0.2 kg each .
