Description

The Black Box KV1401A is a CX Series Server Access Module (SAM) that connects a USB server or computer to a ServSwitch CX, ServSwitch CX Uno, or ServSwitch CX Receiver KVM switch system . This module supports VGA video resolutions up to 1920×1200 and provides connectivity for a USB keyboard and mouse. The SAM allows you to place the server at varying distances depending on the connected switch: up to 32 feet (10 meters) when using a ServSwitch CX Uno, up to 150 feet (45.7 meters) when using a ServSwitch CX, or up to 980 feet (298.7 meters) when the SAM is connected directly to a CX Receiver . A key feature is the “keep alive” functionality that powers the module even if the switch loses power, ensuring continuous server accessibility. The module is flash upgradable for future compatibility, and you need one SAM for each server-to-switch connection. This module is essential for expanding KVM matrix systems in data centers and server rooms.
