Description
The Black Box KVT517A-8UV is a ServView series KVM LCD console that combines a 17″ TFT LCD panel, full 105-key keyboard, touchpad, and an 8-port KVM switch module into a space-saving 1U rack drawer . The dual-rail design allows the keyboard tray and LCD display to slide in and out of the rack independently, enabling users to store the keyboard while keeping the display open to monitor servers. The LCD panel supports resolutions up to 1280×1024 and automatically shuts down when closed at a 45-degree angle to save power. The integrated KVM switch connects to VGA, PS/2, or USB servers, and front-panel controls on the monitor bezel allow switching without opening the keyboard drawer. A front-panel USB 2.0 port remains accessible even when the tray is closed, and a hideaway USB port supports wireless keyboard and mouse adapters. The drawer features a scratch-resistant surface, slip-free handle, and an LED lighting bar for easy location in dark racks .
