Description

The Black Box KVXHP-100 is a high-performance single-head KVM extender in the KVXHP Series, designed for point-to-point extension of one DisplayPort monitor up to 4K resolution. It supports 4096×2160 at 60Hz with 8 bits per color and 4:4:4 chroma sampling, delivering lossless video quality for demanding applications . The extender offers flexible connectivity, transmitting over CATx cable up to 100 meters (using CAT6 for full 4K60) or over fiber cable up to 4 kilometers when SFP modules are installed. High-speed transparent USB 2.0 supports mass storage devices and isochronous devices such as webcams and audio headsets. Intelligent EDID management reduces monitor compatibility issues by cloning the display’s EDID to the source computer, ensuring proper resolution output. The unit includes RS-232 serial and analog audio support, plus local video loop-out on the transmitter for monitoring. An optional rackmount tray (KVXHP-RMK) holds up to two extender units. Dual-head (KVXHP-200) and quad-head (KVXHP-400) models are also available .
