Description

The Black Box KVXHP-400 is a high-performance quad-head KVM extender in the KVXHP Series, designed for extending four DisplayPort monitors from a single source computer. Using Multi-Stream Transport (MST) technology, the transmitter connects to a single DisplayPort output on the source computer and splits the signal to support four independent displays, each at resolutions up to 4096×2160 at 60Hz . This makes it ideal for command and control centers, surveillance operations, financial trading desks, and any application requiring multiple high-resolution displays from a single workstation. The extender transmits signals over CATx cable up to 100 meters or over fiber cable up to 4 kilometers when SFP modules are installed. High-speed transparent USB 2.0 supports mass storage devices, webcams, and audio headsets. The receiver unit provides four DisplayPort outputs for connection to monitors. An optional rackmount tray (KVXHP-RMK) holds up to two extender units.
