The Black Box LBPS01A-KIT is a VDSL2 PoE Ethernet Extender Kit that includes two extenders, one of which is a PoE PSE (Power Sourcing Equipment) device that supplies 802.3af PoE power to a remote PoE PD device such as an IP camera or wireless access point . This innovative kit enables you to seamlessly integrate extenders into a PoE infrastructure, eliminating the need to supply a spare power outlet for distant network devices. The kit supports 100-Mbps downstream and 60-Mbps upstream for distances up to 500 feet (152.4 meters), and can reach distances of up to 4000 feet (1219 meters) at 28/0.3 Mbps . An advanced auto-rate algorithm automatically determines the best possible baud rate for each connection and sets up the extender without user interface intervention. The devices feature autosensing, autonegotiating 10-/100-Mbps Ethernet ports with Auto MDI/MDI-X, eliminating the need for crossover cables. Simple DIP switches allow for master/slave configuration, and low latency makes this kit suitable for video and voice applications. Installation is easy – just connect the extenders and configure them using the DIP switches. Typical applications include Enterprise LAN extension and campus LAN expansion .
