Description
The Black Box LGC010A-R2 is a MultiPower miniature Gigabit media converter that converts 1000Base-T copper signals to 1000Base-SX multimode fiber for distances up to 300 meters (984 feet) . The converter features an SC fiber optic connector, operates at 850nm wavelength, and brings fiber to the desktop more conveniently and at lower cost than installing fiber NICs. The compact unit measures just 0.8″H x 1.8″W x 3.4″D, allowing it to be tucked unobtrusively behind a PC . Auto MDI/MDI-X eliminates the need for crossover cables, and the converter can be powered through the included external AC power supply or through the optional rackmountable PowerTray for centralized power distribution. The LGC010A-R2 comes with a 6-Year Double Diamond Warranty and is ideal for extending network reach to fiber-connected devices without replacing existing network interface cards.
