Description

The Black Box LIG401A is a rugged industrial Gigabit Ethernet switch engineered for the far edges of your network in harsh, indoor environments such as loading docks, monitoring stations, factory floors, and oil/gas fields . This compact switch features four 10-/100-/1000-Mbps copper RJ45 ports and one Gigabit Ethernet SFP port, giving you the flexibility to extend your network over multimode or single-mode fiber at distances up to 80 kilometers depending on the SFP chosen . The switch is rated for extreme temperatures between -40 and +75° C, making it suitable for dusty, dirty, and high-temperature environments . For power reliability, the unit includes dual DC power inputs (12-58VDC) with automatic failover – if one power source fails, the switch automatically falls over to the second power source, and an alarm alerts you in case of power failure . The IP30-rated, fanless housing is suitable for DIN-rail or wall mounting, and the plug-and-play setup means the 10/100/1000-Mbps ports are autosensing with Auto MDI/MDI-X . Applications include security and surveillance backhaul, military vehicles/ships, factory automation controlling PLCs and sensors, building automation for HVAC systems, and remote equipment monitoring .
