Description
The Black Box LMC210A is a FlexPoint media converter designed to connect 10BASE-T twisted pair devices to legacy ThinNet (10BASE-2/coaxial) networks . This converter is ideal for integrating older network equipment into modern infrastructure or extending the life of legacy systems. The unit supports ThinNet cables up to 185 meters (607 feet) and can connect up to 30 stations on the coaxial segment. It features a UTP crossover switch plus automatic polarity detection for simplified installation, and switch-selectable ThinNet line terminators for network configuration flexibility. LEDs provide clear status indication for power, link, and activity. The LMC210A can be used as a standalone converter or mounted in the FlexPoint 14-slot power chassis (LMC200) or FlexPoint 5-position rack mount kit (LMC205). Hardware is also available for mounting the converter on a wall or DIN rail. The converter operates transparently with no software required, making it a plug-and-play solution for legacy network integration .
