The Black Box LPS535A-SFP is a Gigabit media converter that converts 10/100/1000Base-T copper signals to fiber optic media using a standard SFP transceiver slot. This flexible design allows you to choose the appropriate SFP module for your specific fiber type and distance requirements, supporting multimode fiber up to 550 meters or single-mode fiber up to 40 kilometers depending on the SFP selected. The converter features auto-negotiation for speed and duplex, Auto MDI/MDI-X for crossover-free copper connections, and LED indicators for power, link, and activity.
