Description
The Black Box MT662A-MSC is a FlexPoint managed T1/E1 media converter that converts T1/E1 copper signals to multimode fiber (1300nm, SC connector) for distances up to 5 kilometers (3.1 miles) . This converter supports AMI, B8ZS, and HDB3 line codes and features a crossover switch on the RJ-45/RJ-48 port for easy equipment connections . Extensive diagnostics include local and remote fiber loopback switches, while LEDs display T1/E1 link status, modes of operation, and line segment errors. The MT662A-MSC can be used as a standalone converter with a universal AC power supply or mounted in the optional FlexPoint 5-Position Rackmounting Kit (LMC205) or 14-slot Power Chassis (LMC200) . This converter is ideal for connecting T1 or E1 PBXs, CSUs, or routers over fiber to protect against noise and increase network reliability .
