Description
The Black Box SP426A is a compact, self-contained data isolator designed for 10BASE-T and 100BASE-TX Ethernet networks that protects connected equipment from being harmed by damaging ground loops caused by differences in ground potential between two connected devices . This 4-kV isolator maintains Ethernet and Fast Ethernet communications across an electrical isolation barrier, effectively stopping surges while letting high-speed traffic get through uninterrupted. The device installs in-line and draws power from the network and connected equipment, requiring no external power supply . The SP426A meets the European Medical Device Directive (EN6060-1) and is RoHS compliant, making it suitable for medical, industrial, and other sensitive applications where electrical isolation is critical. This isolator is ideal for protecting equipment in environments with ground potential differences, preventing data corruption and equipment damage.
