Description
The EP2-34702 is a Microsoft Surface Thunderbolt 4 Dock internal controller board. This daughterboard houses the Intel JHL8440 chipset and manages all downstream ports: three Thunderbolt 4 (40Gbps), one USB-A 10Gbps, and a dedicated 2.5GbE Ethernet controller from Realtek. It also contains a firmware EEPROM that can be updated via Microsoft’s Surface Dock updater tool without removing the board.
